Dr. Christopher Bartalos, D.O.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Christopher Bartalos is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 25 years of experience diagnosing and treating inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. As Principal Investigator at BVL Clinical Research, he combines compassionate, patient-centered care with a commitment to advancing treatment options through clinical research.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bartalos enjoys elk hunting in Montana and operating Circle B Ranch in Missouri, where he raises Scottish Highland cattle and cutting and reining horses.
Theodore S. Arnett III
Director of Operations
T.Arnett@bvlresearch.comTed brings over 25 years of experience in emergency medicine, crisis response, and healthcare leadership. Before joining BVL, he led emergency management and business continuity efforts at major trauma centers including University of New Mexico, Stormont Vail Health, and The University of Kansas Health System.
A former fire fighter, flight paramedic, and certified healthcare emergency professional, Ted holds a Master’s in Health Care Leadership and is nationally recognized for his expertise in preparedness, compliance, and safety training. His career reflects a deep commitment to protecting patients, staff, and systems in high-stakes environments.
Samantha Mannuzza
Clinical Research Recruiter
s.mannuzza@bvlresearch.comSamantha is the Clinical Research Recruiter at BVL Research, where she connects qualified participants with innovative IBD clinical studies. With a strong foundation in medical sales recruiting, Samantha developed a keen understanding of the healthcare industry and the importance of building meaningful, trust-based relationships.
Her transition into patient recruitment was driven by a passion for advancing medical research and improving access to clinical trials. She combines her recruitment expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to ensure every participant feels informed, supported, and valued throughout the research process.
Kristin Morgan
Clinical Research Coordinator
K.Morgan@bvlresearch.comKristin is a US Army veteran who brings 10+ years of clinical experience to our team. Her research experience includes Phase 1 to Phase 4 clinical trials. An accomplished clinical research professional with a strong track record in Human Abuse Liability, iCardiac, Healthy Normal, First-in-Human, Vaccine, and Opioid-Dependent studies, Kristin is known for maintaining precise, compliant documentation and supporting regulatory excellence across all phases of research.
Her passion and dedication to research is unparalleled. To Kristin, patient safety and data integrity are paramount. She strives to ensure each patient receives the time and attention needed to receive top notch care, in addition to establishing appropriate data collection and documentation to ensure trial success.
When not at work, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, with a special fondness for her pets. She loves reading and watching movies and television—particularly classics from the 1980s—and is currently exploring a variety of creative crafting projects at home.
Amanda Tyler, RN
Quality and Regulatory Registered Nurse
A.Tyler@bvlresearch.comAmanda Tyler, RN is the Quality and Regulatory Registered Nurse at BVL Research. Amanda brings a wealth of nursing expertise dating back to 2013 from a variety of clinical settings, including critical care, crisis intervention, and perioperative services.
With her diverse background and a keen eye for detail, Amanda ensures that BVL Research operations always meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and excellence. She loves bridging the gap between clinical data and real-world care, making sure all of our projects are both high-performing and fully compliant.
Outside of work, Amanda stays active with CrossFit, hiking, and camping. When she isn’t outdoors or at the gym, you can usually find her sewing, cooking up something delicious, or spending quality time with her family.
Paula Kreamer
Clinical Research Coordinator
p.kreamer@bvlresearch.comPaula brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to BVL Research, with a background spanning clinical research, gastroenterology, laboratory operations, patient care, and healthcare leadership. Most recently, she worked in clinical research at the University of Kansas Medical Center, supporting multiple clinical trials through protocol-required procedures, research specimen collection and processing, and accurate study documentation. As a Clinical Research Coordinator II at BVL, Paula is excited to build upon her healthcare and research experience while continuing to grow within the clinical research field. She values accuracy, compassion, and making patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their experience.
Outside of work, Paula is an animal lover with two dogs and a cat. She has an eye for design and color and enjoys spending her free time drawing or trying a new craft. Paula also loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys a wide variety of music, and can occasionally be found jamming out on a Sunday while tackling household chores.
