About BVL Research

An independent research site with a hometown clinic’s attention

Living with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis can mean navigating ongoing symptoms, changing treatments, and uncertainty about what comes next.

If your current treatment isn't providing the results you hoped for, you've tried multiple therapies, or you simply want to understand what other options may be available, clinical research may be worth exploring.

Our mission

Inspiring hope and promoting health through clinical research while providing compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse population of patients and their families.

We strive to conduct high-quality clinical research while providing every participant with a personal, supportive, and informed experience.

We understand that choosing to participate in research is an important decision. Our team takes the time to explain the process, answer your questions, and help you understand what participation may involve so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you.

Our approach

People come to BVL Research at different points in their IBD journey. Some may be newly diagnosed, while others continue to experience symptoms, have tried multiple therapies, face insurance or financial barriers, or simply want to understand what additional options may be available.

We combine clinical research expertise with the personal attention of a smaller, patient-centered team. We prioritize clear communication, individualized scheduling, and dedicated time with our participants so the research process feels approachable and easy to understand.

We recognize that living with IBD looks different for everyone. Our goal is to meet people where they are, listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and provide clear information so they can feel confident making decisions about research participation.
